My first weekend in the dorm on my own, we thought it would be fun to go on a hike. Seeing as we didn't have access to a car, and hadn't mastered the bus yet, we had to pick a hike within walking distance. We made it to the trail head close to 9:00 AM, after about a mile and a half walk to the start of the trail, and began a hike labeled six miles round trip. This is called Laie Falls!

Each part of the hike was different (pictured below), and it was all stunning. All except for the extra two miles each way. We are still unsure whether we took the long way, or if the hiking app was inaccurate, but we did a total of about twelve miles. Though it was a lot of unexpected walking, the falls at the end made it worth it. The water helps cool you down before the trek back down the mountain; and I don't know about anyone else, but it kind of reminds me of Tarzan! ;)
