Who doesn't love a good football game? For those of you who know me well, or at least think you do, it probably doesn't surprise you that I am dedicating almost an entire blog post to that of a football game. But, if you don't know me, I'm sure it seems slightly unusual. Now would be the time for me to tell you that I am a very big football fan. Since I can't play myself, I stick to attending any games available (mostly BYU), as well as keeping up with the NFL. This as you may have noticed was two days after Thanksgiving. I personally can't think of a better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than with a good game. The University of Hawaii at Manoa is located in Honolulu, and the team plays in the Aloha Stadium. The BYU Cougars of Provo flew to Hawaii to play U of H in the Aloha Stadium. With what luck does this happen? I was so excited, especially after discovering that family friends of mine would be visiting for the holiday and the game as well, and they would be attending the game. Our seats at first were not the best, but we eventually filled in some lonely seats closer to the field.

Though it was a pretty cloudy and rainy day, we were still in Hawaii, so the temperature was still around 70 degrees. Pretty perfect huh? Not to mention, the rainbow that showed up after the rain was well worth it (Below). The game was close and definitely kept us on our toes, but luckily BYU came out on top. The final score was UH:20-BYU:30.

Before the game, we decided to check out Leonard's Bakery in Honolulu. Now if you are a hater of all things good and wonderful in the world, I don't recommend this to you. But, you enjoy love and happiness, this may be the perfect place for you to stop by. Even before arriving on the island, I had heard about this place from the Hawaii Five-0 TV series (which I also highly, highly recommend to you), as well as many times by friends and locales once on the island. It is easily one of the most popular places to grab a quick treat, and I now know why.

Seriously how cute is this place?

The thing that Leonard's is probably the most famous for is their Malasadas. If you think that you don't know what this is, I can almost guarantee that you do. These are like fancy donuts. Donuts are one of my all time favorite things when it comes to satisfying my sweet tooth. These Malasadas were a game changer for me, and if you love donuts, it just might improve your quality of life. It gets even better though. They have regular, wonderful, delicious Malasadas available, but the best part is that they also have ones filled with your choice of custard flavor. Picture this, a beautiful, warm pastry filled with Haupia (Coconut) custard, and rolled in sugar. Having a hard time? Look at the picture below. If your mouth isn't watering, then I think there may be something wrong with you.
